LEARNING OBJECTIVES: 1) To analyze knowledge about source of earth
LEARNING OUTCOME    : Students will be able to
                                                1) Explains the type and characteristics of rocks
                                                2) Describes the differences in rock formation processes.

STEP 1
Induction
(5 minutes)
Ø  Teacher shows PowerPoint slides about topic
Ø  Teacher explains this module about rock, rock cycle and useful materials found on Earth.
Ø  Teachers explain three major rock types.
Ø  Teachers explain that most of the objects we use everyday come from materials from within the Earth - rocks, minerals and fuels.

·         LCD
·         PowerPoint slides

STEP 2
Explore
(30 minutes)
Ø  Teachers distribute students to groups
Ø  Each group is supplied with a worksheet and an electronic device damaged
Ø  Students are asked to disassemble and separate each component in the electronic device until it becomes a single piece.
Ø  students are asked to discuss the materials used to create parts of the object
Ø  Students present their activity results

·         Old cell phone
·         Damaged remote control
·         Screwdriver
·         magnifying glass
